Join a mindful cohort in our 215-Hour YTT curriculum in Hatha Vinyasa Yoga with a 15 hour special concentration elective in Sound Therapy. We welcome Cait Lawson, ERYT-200, YM-500 as our Anatomy and Physiology expert, Jaime Schultz, Owner of Rockaway Retreat House for Meditation, Ayurveda, and cooking, as well as Emily’s mentors from India as guest speakers for various discussions throughout the course on topics like: Restorative Yoga, Yoga History, Vedanta Philosophy, Sound Therapy, and more!

Whether you’re a beginner or have a steady practice, Muditā offers a unique curriculum that focuses on access, inclusion, awareness, and sustainable wellbeing. Our teachings merge ancient wisdom with practical modern-day application to prepare you not only to teach, but to lead and live yoga as a way of being.

    Sound Therapy is one of the oldest forms of communication and expression. Before language, Sound connected us.

    Sacred Sound has accompanied the yogic path over millenia, expressing itself through chanting mantras, singing devotional hymns, and playing unique musical instruments.

Mudita offers flexible weekend programming for 4 consecutive months that gives students the opportunity to retain and practice in a meaningful way. In addition, our programming will be held at various intentional spaces including yoga centers, farms, and small local businesses. We believe this gives students a well-rounded experience, and enhances their ability to practice and teach in different environments, as well as contribute to their communities in doing so.

Home Base:

Weekends at the Farm Studio, Stanley NY

The Farm Studio is nestled in the heart of The Finger Lakes Region, with access to beautiful gardens, a nearby creek, and forests that surround the historic property.

The homestead has been lovingly tended to for over 40 years with no-till, no chemical gardening and sustainable homesteading practices, making it the perfect space to learn and grow your practice.

When the weather permits, class time can be outside, in the large yards. Two of our weekends are camping overnights to connect with Nature.

Enjoy being 10 minutes away from two of the beautiful Finger Lakes (Canandaigua and Seneca), and the Ontario County Trailways while having the comfort of a home base with two bathrooms, a full art studio. water, woodstove, kitchen, parking, and ample outdoor access.

  • Fridays: 6 - 9:30 pm (virtual option)

  • Saturdays: 9 am - 6 pm

  • Sundays: 9 am - 4 pm

Meet Emily - MS, ERYT-500, YACEP, STP, Lead Trainer

Emily Awad is the founder of Muditā Wellness (Rincón, Puerto Rico), and Moss & Moon Wellness (Finger Lakes, New York) Registered Yoga School.

She has dedicated her life’s work to seeking out alternative healing modalities and curating thoughtful experiences to gently guide others on their path towards realization. She believes in empowering students and clients with a repeatable and sustainable pathway to learning about yoga as a way of being, with compassion and high moral conduct.

Being a healer has always been innately inside of Emily, and she believes wholeheartedly that the path to wellness should address the mind, body and spirit. She is a certified ERYT-500 Hour Yoga Teacher through Buddha Yog Peeth in Rishikesh, India, a YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider) and a Certified 300-Hour Holistic Sound Therapy Practitioner. She has been practicing for over 20 years, and teaching for nearly a decade. Her publications include a 100-Hour Intensive in Sound Therapy, as well as a YA certified YTT 215-Hour Hatha Vinyasa, with a Sound Therapy Elective.

Emily holds a Masters of Science in Leadership and Organizational Change from Nazareth College where she graduated Summa Cum Laude, and is an inductee of Sigma Beta Delta, which honors the top international students in business, management and administration based upon high academic achievement. With a passion for re-imagining the delivery structures of holistic health through her continuing research in wellness access and inclusivity, Emily’s mission is simple: support students and clients in cultivating a meaningful relationship with being well.

Emily spent 14 years in the non-profit, corporate, and private sectors of organizational design and wellness while running her business(s). Her expertise in yoga, sound therapy, change management, and continuing education make her an experienced, embodied, and well-rounded mentor. She has studied extensively throughout India, Nepal, the United States, Guatemala, Mexico, Spain, and Indonesia, and considers herself a forever student.

Growing up homesteading, Emily learned how to garden organically and care for the land using non-invasive practices. It is important to her that her programs hold space for education around the value of learning how to cultivate native food, source locally, and eat sustainably.
